CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR ENGAGEMENT AND YOUR UPCOMING WEDDING! 

ARCHDIOCESE OF MIAMI REQUIREMENTS FOR THE SACRAMENT OF MATRIMONY

 

PARISH MEETING

•  Contact the parish office to schedule a meeting with the priest.

MARRIAGE FORMATION 

• Register for the "Fully Engaged" inventory.
• Register for the "Camino del Matrimonio" or "Transform in Love" course on the Archdiocese of Miami website (Note: Limited spots available each month).
• Register for the Natural Family Planning (NFP) course.

GROWTH IN FAITH

• Active parish participation and registration, Sunday Mass attendance, sacraments, or OCIA (as needed).
• Receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation.

LITURGICAL PREPARATION 

• Final planning meeting and rehearsal with the priest.

MARRIAGE ENRICHMENT 

• Continue participating regularly in the sacraments and parish community life.

 Note: The priest will guide you throughout the entire process. It is strongly recommended to begin preparation at least 6 months in advance, and to avoid making any venue or vendor reservations before confirming course dates, Archdiocese course availability, and Parish date availability.

Weddings Outside the Country: If the wedding will take place outside the country, the entire process—including preparation, courses, and pastoral guidance—will be completed here at our parish in accordance with the requirements of the Archdiocese of Miami. Once all documentation is completed and approved, the entire file will be sent by the Archdiocese directly to the corresponding diocese abroad where the ceremony will take place.
